Sample space

Sample space is like a box that has all the possible outcomes of something inside of it. For example, if you are flipping a coin, the sample space would be a box containing two items inside - heads and tails. Any time you do something that has multiple outcomes, like rolling a six-sided die, the sample space will contain all the different numbers that you could roll, like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
