Imagine you have a cup of water and you start putting sugar in it. You keep adding sugar and stirring it until the sugar dissolves in the water. After a while, you will notice that no more sugar can dissolve in the water and there will be some sugar left at the bottom of the glass. This point is called a "saturated solution." A "saturated solution" is when you have put so much of something into a liquid (like water) that it can't take any more of it. It's like when you have a full glass of milk and you can't put any more milk in it without it spilling out. The amount of the substance (like sugar) that you can dissolve in a liquid (like water) depends on the temperature and the type of the substance.
