Schizoid personality disorder is a mental health condition where someone tends to avoid social situations, often feeling disconnected from other people. They may think of themselves as different or strange and feel like it's hard to get close with other people. They often feel like they "just don't fit in". People with schizoid personality disorder may not want to spend time with other people, or show very little emotion around them. They may also enjoy being alone and be okay with not having many close relationships with other people.
