Schools of Buddhism

Buddhism is a religion that started in India around 2,500 years ago. It is based on the teachings of a man named Siddhartha Gautama, who was called the Buddha. Buddhism is made up of different schools, or groups, that follow different teachings.

Each school of Buddhism has its own beliefs. For example, one school might believe that meditation is the best way to be happy and peaceful, while another might believe that following certain rules will help you reach enlightenment. Each school also has its own practices, such as rituals or prayers, that help people reach enlightenment.

To sum it up, schools of Buddhism are like different groups that follow different beliefs and practices. They all share the same basic beliefs but have different ways of following them.
