Scrappage program

Okay, kiddo, so a scrappage program is when the government or a company offers to give you some money if you trade in your old car for a new one. It's kind of like when you trade in your old toys for new ones, but with cars.

The idea behind this program is that older cars can be bad for the environment and less safe to drive than newer cars. So, by encouraging people to trade in their old cars, we can get rid of some of these older cars and replace them with newer, better ones.

Sometimes, these programs have rules about what kind of old cars you can trade in and what kind of new car you have to buy. For example, you might have to trade in a car that's more than ten years old and buy a new car that's more fuel-efficient.

Overall, the goal of a scrappage program is to help improve the environment and make driving safer for everyone.
