Sea anchor

A sea anchor is like a big umbrella that goes underwater and helps a boat or ship stay in one place. Imagine you are sitting in a boat and you want to take a break or do some fishing, but the boat keeps moving because of the waves and wind. That's where a sea anchor comes in.

It's kind of like putting a giant parachute or umbrella into the water. The captain ties a rope to the sea anchor and throws it into the water.
