Secondary sex characteristics are physical traits that develop when you go through puberty and make you look more like a man or more like a woman. For example, if you are a girl, your hips will get wider, you will grow breasts and your voice will become higher pitched. If you are a boy, your shoulders will get broader, you will grow facial hair and your voice will become deeper. These traits help people to recognize whether you are a boy or a girl.
