Seki-juku (Tōkaidō)

Seki-juku was a very important place a very long time ago in Japan. It was part of a big road called the Tōkaidō, which was like a big highway where people traveled from one place to another.

Seki-juku was a special place on this road where people could rest and stay for the night if they were traveling between big cities like Tokyo and Kyoto. It was like a little town with a lot of different buildings where people could eat, sleep, and rest their horses or other animals that were helping them on their trip.

People who ran the buildings in Seki-juku were very important because they helped travelers and made sure everyone was safe. They also helped people get to where they needed to go by giving them directions and making sure they had what they needed for their journey.

Seki-juku is very historic and important because it's a reminder of how people used to travel a long, long time ago. Nowadays, we have really fast cars and trains that can take us places very quickly, but a long time ago, the Tōkaidō and Seki-juku were very important for helping people travel safely and comfortably.
