Self-information

Self-information is when you use information you already know to learn more about a topic. For example, if you already know something about dogs, like that they have four legs, you could use this information to learn more about them, like what kinds of breeds there are, or what kinds of food they eat. It’s like when someone tells you a little bit about something, like a new word, and then you use that information to learn more about it on your own.
