Okay kiddo, so you know how when you touch something, you can feel it? Well, there are little special cells in your body called sensory nerves that help you feel things like that.
These nerves have tiny hairs on them that can sense when something is moving or when you’re being squished or when something is hot or cold. They can even feel pain when you get hurt.
They send messages called electrical signals to your brain so that your brain knows what’s happening to your body. This way, your brain can tell you if something feels good, like a hug, or if something hurts, like a bee sting.
Isn't it amazing how our bodies work? Our sensory nerves are there to help us feel and know what's happening in our world.
