Septic function

Septic function refers to the processes that occur in a septic tank, which is a big container that is buried in the ground where the wastewater from a house or building is stored and treated.

When we use water in our homes, it goes down the drains and ends up in the septic tank. Inside the tank, there are bacteria that break down the solids and other waste materials in the water. This process is called digestion.

The waste materials settle to the bottom of the tank, while the clearer water rises to the top. The clear water then flows out of the tank and into a drain field where it's further treated in the soil.

The septic system needs to be maintained properly to keep it functioning properly. This involves pumping out the tank regularly, adding bacteria supplements to help digestion, and avoiding things like flushing non-degradable objects down the toilet or pouring toxic chemicals down the drain.

So basically, septic function is all about breaking down waste materials in water and making it safe to be released into the environment.
