Okay kiddo, so you know how some people really like to climb mountains and get to the top? Well, there are seven really big and tall mountains in the world that a lot of those people try to climb. These seven mountains are called the Seven Summits.
The first of the Seven Summits is Mount Kilimanjaro, which is in Africa. It's really big and really tall, and people climb it because it's a challenge and they want to see the view from the top.
The second summit is called Mount Elbrus, and it's in Russia. It's also really tall and really cold because it's covered in snow and ice.
The third summit is located in North America, and it's called Denali (also known as Mount McKinley). It's in Alaska and it's the tallest mountain in North America.
The fourth summit is called Aconcagua, and it's in South America. It's really, really tall and people have to be very careful when they climb it because it can be very dangerous.
The fifth summit is called Mount Everest, and it's in Asia. This is probably the most famous of the Seven Summits because it's the tallest mountain in the world! A lot of people try to climb Mount Everest, but it's really hard and dangerous.
The sixth summit is called Vinson Massif, and it's in Antarctica. It's really hard to get to because it's in the coldest place on Earth. Even getting there is dangerous, and then climbing it is even harder!
The seventh and final summit is called Puncak Jaya, and it's in Oceania (which is the part of the world where Australia and New Zealand are). It's the smallest of the Seven Summits, but it's still very hard to climb because it's in a really remote part of the world.
