Seven Wonders of Colombia
Okay little friend, so Colombia is a country in South America and it has many beautiful places that people go to visit. These places are so special that they are called the Seven Wonders of Colombia.
1. The first wonder is the Lost City or Ciudad Perdida in Spanish. It is an ancient city that was built by the indigenous people of Colombia over 1000 years ago. It is a big place with lots of ruins and it is in the middle of the jungle!
2. The second wonder is the Salt Cathedral or Catedral de Sal in Spanish. It's a really amazing church that was built inside a salt mine. The walls and ceilings are made of salt and the lights make it look like a rainbow. It's really cool!
3. The third wonder is the Tatacoa Desert or Desierto de Tatacoa in Spanish. It is a place with lots of sand and really weird looking rocks. It's like a really big sandbox!
4. The fourth wonder is the Caño Cristales River or Rio Caño Cristales in Spanish. It is a river that is known as the "River of Five Colors" because of its vibrant colors like red, yellow, blue, green and black. It looks like a rainbow and it's really beautiful!
5. The fifth wonder is the Guajira Peninsula or Península de la Guajira in Spanish. It is a place with lots of beaches and big sand dunes. It's like being in the desert but with the sea close by.
6. The sixth wonder is the San Agustín Archaeological Park or Parque Arqueológico de San Agustín in Spanish. It is a big park with lots of statues that the indigenous people of Colombia made a long time ago. They look really cool and are very old!
7. The seventh wonder is the Medellin Metro Cable or Teleférico de Medellín in Spanish. It's a big cable car that takes you up to the mountains in Medellin. You get to see the city from above and it looks really pretty!
