Shot noise is like the sound of pulling the trigger on a gun. When the trigger is pulled, a lot of really small particles (called electrons) zoom out of the gun really quickly. This makes a loud noise that is called 'shot noise'. In electronics, shot noise is the small amount of extra noise that is created when using electrical circuits. It is similar to the sound of a shot being fired and is made up of lots of tiny electrical pulses created by the movement of electrons.
