Shrink wrap

Okay, imagine you have a toy that you really like and you don't want it to get dirty or damaged. So you take a special plastic that is very thin and stretchy, and you carefully wrap it around the toy. The plastic makes a tight seal around the toy so no dirt or air can get in. This is called shrink wrap, because when you heat up the plastic it shrinks and tightens even more around the toy. It's like putting a clear plastic jacket on something to keep it safe and clean. People use shrink wrap to protect all sorts of things, like food, electronics, and even boats!
