Signal crime

Okay, so have you ever played a game of telephone with your friends? You know, where one person whispers a message to the next and it gets passed along until the last person says it out loud and it's usually very different from the original message?

Well, that's kind of like what happens with signals. Signals are things like lights, sounds, or gestures that we use to communicate with each other. Sometimes, when someone sends a signal, it can get misunderstood or misinterpreted by the person who receives it. This can happen for lots of reasons, like if the signal is too faint or if the person receiving it is distracted or not paying attention.

When this happens, it's called a signal crime. It's like a mistake in communication that can sometimes cause problems. For example, if a driver doesn't see a stop sign because it's blocked by a tree branch, they might accidentally drive through the intersection and cause an accident. Or if someone doesn't hear a warning siren because they're wearing headphones, they might not know to get to safety during an emergency.

So, signal crimes are kind of like when there's a miscommunication between people because the signal wasn't clear or was misunderstood. It's important to pay attention to signals and make sure we're sending them clearly so everyone can understand them.
