Singles (cards)
Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a deck of cards? They have lots of little cards in them that you can play all sorts of fun games with. Each little card has a number and a symbol on it, like a heart or a diamond.
Now, sometimes people like to collect these cards or trade them with their friends. When you have just one single card from a deck, we call that a "single." So if you have a single of the 7 of hearts, that means you just have one card with the number 7 and the heart symbol on it.
It might not seem like a big deal, but some people really like collecting singles of rare, hard-to-find cards. It's kind of like collecting stickers or toys, but with little cards instead!
