Size effect on structural strength

When we build things, it's important to make sure they are strong and can hold up a lot of weight or force. But did you know that the size of the thing we're building can affect how strong it is?

Let's say we're making a toy bridge out of paper. If we make the bridge very small, it might be able to hold up a few small toys without collapsing. But if we try to make the same bridge really big, it's going to have a harder time holding up a lot of weight.

This is because the size of the bridge affects how much force it can handle. When we make something bigger, the weight and pressure on it increases. If we don't make the structure stronger too, there's a higher chance it will break or collapse.

So, if you want to build something strong, you need to consider how big it's going to be and make sure it can handle the weight and force it will experience. Always remember to build with strength in mind!
