Slider and crank mechanism

Okay, let's pretend you have a toy car that you want to make move forward. One way to do that is by using a slider and crank mechanism.

The slider is a block that can slide back and forth, while the crank is like a handle that you can turn.

You attach the slider to the bottom of the car and the crank to the axis of the wheels. When you turn the crank, it moves in a circular motion, which causes the slider to move back and forth.

As the slider moves back and forth, it pushes the car forward. This is because the slider is connected to a rod that attaches to the wheels, so when it moves back and forth, it makes the wheels turn and move the car forward.

So basically, the slider and crank mechanism is a way to turn circular motion into linear motion, which is what makes the car move forward.
