Small claims court

Small claims court is like a special kid's court for people who have problems with each other and need help to solve them. Sometimes people have an issue with someone because maybe they didn't pay back money they promised, or they broke something that belongs to another person, or they didn't do what they said they were going to do.

In small claims court, a grown-up called a judge listens to both sides of the problem and decides who is right based on the facts. The judge helps people come up with a solution to their problem so they can be happy again. It's called "small claims court" because the cases there aren't usually very big or complicated, and the amount of money involved is usually small.

Small claims court is a good place to go when you have a problem with someone and you can't solve it on your own. It helps you get what you deserve and makes sure everyone gets treated fairly.
