Small-angle approximation

The small-angle approximation is a way to simplify a complicated math problem. It says that if the angle (the amount of turn or bend in a shape) of something is really small, like smaller than 1 degree, it can be treated like it's almost zero. That way, you can use simpler equations to solve the problem.
