ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Socialist economics

Socialist economics is an economic system in which the government, instead of businesses and individuals, own and control the production and distribution of goods and services. This means that the government decides how to use the resources available, what to produce, and how to distribute the products and services among people. The goal of socialist economics is to ensure that everyone in society has access to the basic things they need, such as food, shelter, healthcare, and education.
