Sociology of religion is a way of looking at how religious beliefs shape the way people live their lives. It looks at how religious beliefs shape our relationships with people, how it influences the way we think, how we make decisions and how it affects the way society is organized. As an example, sociology of religion can look at why people of certain faiths tend to make different choices in regards to marriage, education, and how we relate to people who live outside of our own faith group. It can also be used to better understand how religions can interact with other cultures and how this may affect their relationship to one another.
