Sohan (confectionery)

Sohan is a type of sweet treat that comes from Iran. It's kind of like a type of candy that people eat when they want something sugary.

Making sohan is a bit like baking a cake or cooking candy at home. First, you mix together some things like butter, sugar, and honey in a big pot. Then, you cook this mixture on the stove for a while until it gets thick and bubbly.

Next, you add in some other things like almonds or pistachios. These are tiny little nuts that grow on trees and are very tasty. Once you've mixed everything together really well, you pour the mixture onto a big flat surface to cool down and harden.

Once the mixture has cooled and hardened, you can break it into small pieces and eat it as a snack. It's really sweet and kind of sticky, but it's very tasty. People in Iran have been making and eating sohan for a really long time, and it's still a popular treat there today.
