Soil defertilisation

Soil defertilisation is when you take away something called fertilizer from the soil. Fertilizer helps plants to grow better by providing them with extra nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium that they need. Without enough of these nutrients, plants cannot grow healthy and strong. So when farmers want to reduce the amount of fertilizer they use, they can do something called soil defertilisation. This means they take some of the fertilizer away so that the soil has less of it and the plants don't get as much of it. This can be done in many different ways, such as drawing out the fertilizer from the soil and replacing it with newer, better fertilizer, or simply taking some away. Either way, the result is that the soil is less fertilized, so the plants have to work harder to get the nutrients they need, and it can also help protect the environment from too much fertilizer in the soil.
