Solar cookers use the Sun's energy to cook food instead of using electricity or gas. They work by trapping the Sun's heat in a box or container and using that heat to cook the food. The food is placed in a container inside the box or container, and this area is sealed up so the heat has nowhere to escape. The walls of the box or container usually have a special coating that reflects the Sun's rays and keeps the inside of the box or container hot. As the Sun's rays hit the walls of the box, the walls get really hot and this heat gets trapped inside the box, cooking your food!
