Solunar theory

Solunar theory explains how the positions of the moon and the sun affect wildlife and their behaviour. It is based on the idea that as the moon gets closer to the Earth, its gravitational pull causes the oceans, rivers and lakes to rise and fall in a regular cycle (known as the "tide"). This tide then affects creatures that live in the water, and their behaviour changes. The same thing happens when the sun is in a certain position relative to the moon—the sun's gravitational pull can cause a tide as well, and it affects the behaviour of creatures living in the water.
