ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sonic interaction design

Sonic Interaction Design is a kind of design where people use sounds instead of visuals to help them interact with technology. It is like a way to use sound to tell people what to do when they use a device or software. For example, a telephone might make a beeping sound when you dial a number so it tells you when it is ready to dial the number and when it is finished dialing. Or when you type something on the computer, it might make a sound when you hit the correct key. Sonic Interaction Design helps people understand how to do different things with technology.
