Sound amplification by stimulated emission of radiation

Sound amplification by stimulated emission of radiation is a way to make sounds louder. It uses something called light (a kind of energy). Light is made up of tiny particles called photons. When sound waves enter a special device, it makes the photons release a little bit of extra energy. The released energy creates more photons, and these extra photons make the sound louder.
