Space debris

Space debris is like all of the trash in space! It can be things like faulty satellites, pieces of rockets and other objects that have been left in space. When those objects are sent up, they don't always come down. Over time, those pieces of trash build up and can cause problems for astronauts and other objects in space. This is why it is important to make sure that any equipment that is sent into space is designed with the idea of being able to come back down to Earth or be safely disposed of.
