Sparse coding

Sparse coding is like a puzzle. You have a bunch of little pieces, called "atoms", and have to figure out which ones you need to put together to make a bigger picture. Each "atom" is a tiny piece of information that helps make the bigger picture. Putting these pieces together can help us understand things like pictures or sound more quickly and easily.
