Spaser

Spaser is a type of laser that works differently than regular lasers. Instead of using electricity to create the laser light, spasers use sound waves, which are much quieter and energy efficient. These sound waves are bounced off of tiny metal particles inside the laser to generate light. The light generated by spasers is also brighter and sharper than regular lasers, so it can be used for things like microscopes and scanners.
