Spin (public relations)

Spin in public relations is a way of talking about something in a way that makes it sound better than it really is. In PR, spin is used to shape what people think about a certain topic, issue, product, or person. For example, if a company was releasing a product that was not very popular, they might use spin to make it sound like it was a great product and everybody loves it. It is a way of exaggerating the positive side of things to make them seem more appealing.
