Spinster

Okay kiddo, a spinster is a word that people used to use for a woman who was not married and was getting older. You know how when you play with your toys, sometimes you have a favorite toy that you always play with and you don't want to share it? Well, some people used to think that women who didn't get married and have a family were like that. They chose to keep their lives to themselves and didn't want to share it with anyone else. But that's not really fair or true. Nowadays, we don't use that word anymore because it's not kind to make fun of people who are not like us. We are all different and that's what makes us special!
