ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Spur (mountain)

Well kiddo, a spur on a mountain is like a little bump or ridge that sticks out from the main part of the mountain. It's sort of like a mini mountain that's connected to the bigger one. Sometimes spurs can be long and narrow, like a finger pointing out, and sometimes they can be wider and flatter. Spurs can be really fun to climb because they're not as steep as the main part of the mountain, but they still offer a challenge. Plus, when you get to the top of a spur, you can often see some really great views of the surrounding area!
