ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Stage fright

Stage fright is when you feel really scared or nervous to perform in front of other people. Imagine that you were going to sing a song or do a dance in front of a lot of people, but you are so scared that you feel like you might forget everything or mess up really badly. This feeling can make your heart beat faster, your palms get sweaty, and make you want to run away.

It's a natural feeling that happens to a lot of people, and it's okay to feel scared. The good news is that there are ways to help you feel less nervous, like practicing a lot beforehand, taking deep breaths, and reminding yourself that it's okay to make mistakes. You can also imagine that the audience is cheering you on and wants you to do well.

The more you practice and perform, the easier it will become to manage your stage fright. Just remember to have fun and enjoy yourself!
