Test anxiety is when you feel really worried or scared when you have to take a test at school. Sometimes you might feel like your heart is beating super fast, or like you can't breathe very well, or like you might even throw up!
Most of the time, when you're taking a test, you're supposed to try your hardest to answer all of the questions correctly. But when you feel anxious, your brain and your body might start acting really weird, which can make it harder to do well on the test.
Sometimes, test anxiety happens because you're worried that you won't do well on the test, or that you'll fail. Other times, it might be because you're scared about what might happen if you don't do well - maybe your parents will be upset, or your teacher will be disappointed.
But the good news is that there are lots of things you can do to help reduce your test anxiety! Some people find it helpful to take deep breaths, or to close their eyes for a minute and imagine themselves doing really well on the test. Others find it helpful to study a lot beforehand, so they feel more prepared when it's time for the test.
No matter what works best for you, remember that test anxiety is a really common feeling, and that you're not alone in feeling scared or nervous about taking tests. Just try to take some deep breaths, remind yourself that you're doing your best, and ask for help if you need it!
