ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Standard of care

Standard of care is like a set of guidelines or rules that everyone should follow to do the best job that they can. It basically means that people need to make sure that they are taking the best possible care of something and doing whatever is necessary to ensure that the job is done properly and safely. For example, if you were in charge of taking care of a garden, standard of care would mean that you would water it regularly, trim the foliage, and remove weeds as needed. This helps to make sure that the garden is in the best condition possible.
