Statistical dispersion

Statistical dispersion is a way of measuring how spread out numbers are. It simply means how far away the numbers are from one another. For example, if you had five numbers: 2, 6, 8, 10 and 12, the dispersion would be 10, because the numbers are 10 away from each other (2 and 12 being the furthest apart).
