Statutes of Canada

Statutes of Canada are a set of rules made by important people in the Canadian government. These rules tell us how we should behave and what we are allowed to do in Canada. The rules are written down in a big book called the "Statutes of Canada."

Think of the Statutes of Canada like your classroom rules. Your teacher may have a set of rules that you and your classmates must follow inside the classroom. The Statutes of Canada are like that, but for the whole country.

These rules are made up of different laws that the government creates, and they cover all sorts of things like how fast we're allowed to drive on the roads, what age we need to be to vote or drive a car, and how much money we're supposed to pay in taxes.

Each time a new law is created, it is added to the Statutes of Canada book. Just like a teacher might add a new rule to the classroom rules if something new happens in the classroom.

The Statutes of Canada help keep our country fair and safe for everyone who lives here. They make sure that we all follow the same rules and that we have a system in place to enforce them.
