Steam generator (railroad)

A steam generator is a type of engine used to power trains. They are like little factories that turn fuel, like coal or oil, into energy. This energy is used to make steam, which is pushed by the engine to move the train forward. Steam generators have been used for centuries to power trains. They can be really loud and smoky, but modern steam generators are much more efficient and quieter, so they are still used today.
