Stephen Colbert (character)

Stephen Colbert is a grown-up man who pretends to be someone else on television. He calls this pretend person his "character." His character is a funny man who likes to make jokes about politics and news. He wears a suit and has a big smile. Even though the character's name is the same as the man who is playing him, they are not the same person. It's like playing dress-up, but instead of wearing a costume, he pretends to be someone else.
