A stereo camera is like having two eyes instead of one. You know how you can see things better with two eyes? It's the same with cameras!
When you take a picture with a stereo camera, it actually takes two pictures, one from each eye (or camera). These two pictures are slightly different from each other because they were taken from two different positions.
The camera then uses special software to put these two pictures together and create a 3D image, like the ones you see in movies where things pop out of the screen.
So why is a stereo camera useful? Well, it can help us figure out how far away something is. Just like we can tell how far away something is by how different it looks to each of our eyes, a stereo camera can do the same thing.
This can be really helpful in things like self-driving cars or robots, where they need to know how far away objects are to avoid crashing into them. So, even though a stereo camera might look a little silly with its two "eyes," it's actually really important!
