Stereotypes of Americans are ideas or beliefs that people have about the types of people that live in the United States. Stereotypes often paint a picture of Americans as loud, rude, and different from people in other countries. In reality, though, people in America can be just as nice, friendly, and polite as people in other countries. People in America come from many different backgrounds and cultures, so it's important to remember that stereotypes don't give a true picture of who Americans really are.
