Stonehenge Cursus

Okay kiddo, today we are going to talk about something very old called Stonehenge Cursus.

So imagine there is a big open space on the ground, like your backyard. The people who lived a long time ago in England made something really special in that space. They made two long walls called ditches. Yes, just like the ditches you see on the side of the road.

But these ditches were not just normal ditches, they were really long, like the size of three football fields put together! People couldn't walk on them like a normal road, they were too long and deep.

One ditch went straight, like an arrow, and the other one was kind of curved like a big smiley mouth. They were called cursus.

Now, what's really interesting is that these ditches were made before Stonehenge was built, which is even older than your grandma and grandpa!

We don't really know why exactly the people made these ditches, but some people think it was a special place for people to gather and maybe do something important.

So there you have it, kid. Stonehenge Cursus is a really big ditch built by people a long, long time ago in England. Pretty cool, right?
