Storage tank

A storage tank is a big container for keeping things. It's kind of like a giant jar or bottle, but for things that can be poured out or pumped, like water, oil, or gas.

Imagine you have a big bag of marbles, but you don't want to carry it around with you all the time. So, you decide to put it in a jar with a lid. That way, you can keep all the marbles in one place, and they won't spill out all over the floor. A storage tank is like a jar, but much bigger and stronger.

Storage tanks can be made of different materials, like metal, plastic or concrete. Metal tanks can be really strong but might rust over time. Plastic tanks are lighter but might not be able to hold heavy things like oil. Concrete tanks are very strong and can last a really long time, but they are also the heaviest.

Many industries use storage tanks, like power plants, chemical factories, and gas stations. They need to store things like fuel, chemicals, and water. Some even use giant underground tanks to store things.

When things are stored in a tank, they can be pumped out when they are needed. For example, if a power plant needs more fuel to make electricity, they pump the fuel out of the tank and into the power plant's machines.

So, a storage tank is basically a big jar, but for big things like oil or water, and it's used by different industries to store things safely until they are needed.
