Streaming media

Streaming media is a way of watching or listening to videos or music without having to download them first. When you stream media, your computer or device connects to a server on the internet which sends tiny bits of the video or song to you in real-time over the internet. It's like having a tiny water pipe delivering tiny drips of water to your house that add up over time - like filling up a bucket. In the same way, streaming media fills up the media player like a bucket with the tiny drips of media it receives until the video or song finishes playing.
