ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Strip farming

Strip farming is like dividing a big piece of cake into smaller pieces. So, imagine you have a big field that you want to plant crops in, but you don't want to plant all the crops at once. Instead, you divide the field into smaller strips or sections.

Each strip has its own crop that is planted and harvested separately. By doing this, you can rotate the crops and let the soil rest, which is good for the plants and the soil. It also helps prevent erosion and saves time and resources by focusing on smaller areas at a time.

So, just like when you eat a cake slice by slice, strip farming helps farmers plant and harvest crops in smaller sections, which is better for the plants, the soil, and the farmer's work.
