ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Structuring (crime)

Structuring is when people break down large amounts of money (that they made from a crime) into smaller amounts so it's easier to hide the money. For example, if someone robbed a bank and took $10,000, they might break it down into lots of different pieces, like $1,000, $500, $200 and so on. This way, they can avoid getting caught by the police.
