Style guides

Do you remember when you were learning to read and write and your teacher taught you how to write letters and words in a certain way? That's kind of like a style guide for writing.

A style guide is like a set of rules that tell you how to write or design things a certain way. It makes sure that everything looks or sounds the same, like all the words are spelled the same and all the colors match.

For example, let's say you work for a big company that wants all their advertisements to look and sound the same. They might create a style guide that tells you what fonts to use, what colors to use, and what words to use in their ads. That way, no matter who creates the ad, it will always look and sound the same.

Style guides can also be used for things like writing papers or creating websites. Sometimes they are even used for making sure people dress a certain way (like wearing a uniform). The goal is to keep things consistent and make sure everyone is on the same page.
